Dear Judy Jackson,

I am writing this letter to voice my disapproval with the proposed development of Ralph’s Bay in Lauderdale.  The idea of damming, excavation and construction in this serene and beautiful place is at best a frightening and short-sighted endeavor.  I choose to live in Tasmania specifically because of its green image, low-key lifestyle and the proximity to wildlife and pristine ecosystems.  The Walker plans are contrary to this vision and I am disappointed that, despite public outcry, this is still a possible outcome.  Please do the right thing - please protect Lauderdale from an environmental nightmare, loss of important bird habitat, and loss of a treasured and much loved place.
