“LAUDERDALE QUAY DEVELOPMENT
[10.36 a.m.]
Mr McKIM (Question) - My question is to the Premier. Premier, you have just stated that Walker Corporation’s odious and unpopular proposal to trash the Ralphs Bay conservation area, close off public open space in the area and devastate the ecosystem at Ralphs Bay has been hauled out of the coffin where it belongs. Can you confirm that this is an identical proposal to the one which was shelved in order to save a Labor seat in Franklin at the last State election? Has your Government or any of your ministers made any deal or agreement with Walker to sell any crown land or part of the Ralphs Bay conservation area in the event that Walker can get this proposal through the planning system? If so, has any price been agreed in relation to the sale of the Ralphs Bay conservation area or any crown land associated with this proposal, and what processes will be gone through as a result of the agreement or any sale?
Mrs Napier - And was it signed on 15 February?
Members laughing.”
