On Walker Corp.’s right to on-sell the canal estate:
On the final afternoon of the recent Hearings into the Walker Corporation’s proposed canal estate at Lauderdale, the Walker Corp. lawyer reminded those present that, “the permit will endure forever, no matter who is the developer.”
Ald. Richard James’ bizarre conspiracy theory ("Greens linked to Bay rethink”, 26.9.09) shows he has lost all touch with reality.
In the same article, Lia Morris claims that Walker Corp. has made “consistent” commitments to Clarence ratepayers. This is nonsense.
Save Ralphs Bay Inc. strongly disputes claims made by Walker Corporation yesterday that no last minute changes were made to its canal estate proposal.
“Throughout the course of the public hearing, numerous significant changes were made with little or no notice to the other parties.
