After almost five long years, the battle for Ralphs Bay now begins in earnest. The Walker Corporation has lodged a Draft Integrated Impact Statement (IIS) of almost 7000 pages, and opponents of the development are invited to make submissions to the Resource Planning and Development Commission (RPDC) in response to the IIS.

The Draft Integrated Impact Statement (DIIS) for the proposed development has been delivered to the Tasmanian Resource Planning and Development Commission (RPDC).
In the Walker Corporation’s parallel universe, a development which would transform 146.5 hectares of the marine and coastal environment of Ralphs Bay into a Gold Coast style canal estate would cause only, “minimal”, “negligible” and “minor” environmental impacts.
